CLIENT PRE-TRIP CHECKLIST
  • Please leave payment for us to pick up on the first visit. No post dated checks please, unless agreed upon in advance. Check to be made out to Sandra Natale or Cash.
  • Let us know if your pet has already been fed for the day or had it's AM meal and needs it's PM meal or whatever applies to your situation. Does your pet get supplements or daily medication?...let us know if they have had them for the day or if they still need to be administered.
  • Leave kitchen sink free of dishes so that we are able to clean your pet's food and water dishes.
  • Leave your kitchen garbage pail empty. If you use liners, leave extra ones out or let us know where to find them. If you keep your garbage pails hidden from the bears, they are also hidden from us. Let us know where they are.
  • Leave clean-up supplies handy or let us know where to find them. (broom & dust pan, mops, bucket, paper towels, rug cleaner, etc.)
  • Please don't hide the dog's leash.
  • Leave litter pans or dog runs free of waste. Be sure to leave a scooper and a pail with plastic bags to put waste in.
  • If we are taking care of the house plants, leave a watering can handy.
  • We MUST know if anyone else will have access to the house. We WILL immediately call the WM Police if we find someone else in your home.
  • During the winter months, leave a snow shovel handy. Ice melt is helpful too. If you have a snow blower, leave it gassed and in good working condition. We will need to have access to your home and will clear the walks and drive so that we are able to come and go safely. If you have a service that clears the snow for you, let them know that we come and go early in the AM and need to have the snow cleared...and let us know that someone may be coming too. If the snow is not cleared after several visits, we will take care of it, billing you at at our hourly rate.

Keeping the food and water bowls clean, cleaning up accidents and taking care of the litter pans and dog runs are part of our service.
The more time we may spend looking for things...the less time we have to spend with your babies.



OUR POLICIES
  • All bookings REQUIRE CONFIRMATION by Home Sweet Home, either by phone or email. Please DO NOT leave a message or email us with a request for pet sitting and just assume that we will come. (read a short tale...) We will always respond ASAP to your requests for pet sitting.
  • Home Sweet Home will require proof of current rabies vaccinations for all pets.
  • We will confirm all reservations several days previous to dates booked.
  • Home Sweet Home requires that ALL clients call us upon their return home. We need to know that someone is there for your pet. PLEASE DO NOT CALL FROM THE ROAD ON YOUR WAY HOME...WE NEED TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE ACTUALLY HOME. If we do not hear from you PREVIOUS to what would have been the next scheduled visit, we will come for that visit and you will be billed accordingly.
  • At the Key Pick-Up/Initial Consultation, we will require a NON Refundable payment of $15.00. If you choose not to use us, that compensates us for our time. If you book us at this time, a deposit of at least fifty percent of the total fee will be required. Balance to be left for pick up at first visit. For our clients that allow us to retain their key, payment will be made in full, on or before the first visit. You will also need to supply us with a key. We will happily enter and exit through the garage using a garage door opener or key pad, but a key will still be necessary in the event of a power outage.
  • A Service Contract/Travel Info Form will be required for EACH set of visits.
  • A Pet History Form will be required for each pet. It is NOT necessary to fill one out for every trip.
  • Cleaning up after your pet is part of our service. Please leave litter pans and dog pens clean. We may need to have access to cleaning supplies. Litter scoopers, pooper scoopers, plastic bags for waste, vacuums, brooms, mops, pails, cleaning fluids, sponges, paper towels etc. should be available to us. Accidents happen and we'll clean them up...so please don't hide this stuff from us. Please leave your kitchen sink free of dirty dishes. We will need access to it to keep your pet's bowls clean and supply fresh drinking water.
  • In the event of extreme weather, we will go to your pet as soon as it is safe to travel. If you are traveling during the winter season, please be sure to make arrangements to have your driveway, walks, and steps cleared. Should Home Sweet Home have to perform this service, you WILL be billed, at our hourly rate, $30.00, for this service. We cannot expect you to be responsible for conditions that occur after your departure...so please have snow shovels and ice melt out and available to us. Have a snow blower?...make sure it runs and is "gassed up"...having the use of your machine will lessen or eliminate the snow removal fee. The bottom line is that we need to be able to access your home safely and we need to able to park our vehicle off the road and out of the way of the plow trucks which may be coming through at the time.
  • We will not be liable for cats, with outdoor access. For their safety it is strongly advised they remain INDOORS during your absence.
  • All dogs are required to be on a leash...it's required in West Milford. Exceptions may include a fenced in yard or invisible fencing.
  • Home Sweet Home reserves the right to NOT handle UN-NEUTERED male dogs.
  • You MUST notify us of ANY person having access to your home while you are away. If we arrive at your home and someone is there that we were not informed about, we WILL call the police.
  • Home Sweet Home prefers not to share Pet Sitting duties with a second party. (neighbor, relative, friend, etc.)


RATES
PET SITTING
  • $15.00 One visit per day (up to 2 dogs OR 3 cats)
  • $30.00 Two visits per day (up to 2 dogs OR 3 cats)
  • $30.00 Two visits per day for up to 3 cats
  • $45.00 Three visits per day for up to 2 dogs
  • $ 2.00 Each additional animal per visit (over 2 dogs OR 3 cats, fees for multi-pet families are negotiable depending on needs)
  • $15.00 Key Pick-Up Fee. This includes our Initial Consultation. When you book us for the first time, the fee for the Consultation will be applied to your first visit.
  • $15.00 Key Drop-Off Fee
  • $10.00 Cancellation Fee (if key has been picked up, key drop-off fee may also apply)
  • $20.00 Returned Check Fee
  • $15.00 Transportation Fee (for any trip to a veterinary facility, plus our hourly rate, $30.00, for any time spent there.)
  • $10.00 Additional per DAY for any pet requiring medication (i.e.: fluid therapy, diabetics, terminally ill, etc.)
  • $30.00 Per hour or any part thereof for Snow Removal.

DOG WALKING

  • $15.00 Per walk (done a daily basis, client returns home at the end of the day.)

    THE ABOVE FEES ARE A GENERAL GUIDELINE FOR OUR SERVICES.
    HOME SWEET HOME RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHARGE MORE OR LESS DEPENDING ON A GIVEN SITUATION.
    ANY VARIANCE FROM THE BASE FEES WILL BE AGREED UPON IN ADVANCE BETWEEN HOME SWEET HOME AND THE CLIENT.


TERMS:

  • Any additional visits shall be paid at the agreed contract price.
  • The CLIENT shall pay all expenses incurred by Emergency Veterinary visits deemed necessary by HOME SWEET HOME. HOME SWEET HOME will make every effort to contact the CLIENT in the event of an emergency. Should the CLIENT be un-reachable, HOME SWEET HOME will act on the CLIENT'S behalf to preserve the health and well being of their pet.
  • The CLIENT agrees to the use of an alternate Veterinarian or Clinic if their first preference is not available or the situation demands it.
  • The CLIENT agrees to leave supplies of food and care products sufficient to the pets needs for the term of this contract.
  • The CLIENT shall pay for additional food and care products if necessary.
  • HOME SWEET HOME SHALL NOT be held liable for injury, disappearance, or death of pet(s); especially those permitted to run outdoors.
  • HOME SWEET HOME agrees to provide the services stated in this contract in a reliable and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the CLIENT expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against HOME SWEET HOME.
