Home Sweet Home Pet Sitting will be on vacation in the Spring just prior to Memorial Day, from Saturday May 12th through Sunday May 20th and again in the late Summer, after Labor Day, from Saturday September 8th through Sunday September 16th.
We will be unavailable for Pet Sitting during these dates. |
| A Few Words About Us... | |

Having grown up in a fairly large family we always had some sort of pet around. There were dogs, birds, rabbits, cats etc. at some time or other. This taught me at an early age the responsibility of having a pet. I also found myself always helping animals in need which sort of perplexed my parents. I'd bring home stray cats, a nest of baby squirrels whose mother was hit by a car; wounded birds once even a pet raccoon that had been abandoned at a local park. As I grew up, more and more people would tell me that if I wanted to make it in the world I would have to give up this foolishness and think of my future. So I ended up becoming a bookkeeper.
Then about ten years ago I got the opportunity to start my life's work over. The company I worked for many years went out of business and the NJ Dept. of Labor offered me the opportunity to go back to school in a new field. I thought back at what had always made me happy and took it from there. I spent a few years back in school taking animal courses, working part time at Veterinary Clinics and doing grooming got me back to what I love, working with animals. Now I have my own business taking care of peoples beloved pets and also working part time as a Certified Veterinary Assistant. Some of my earliest memories from my childhood are of my father's pet store...the sounds of chattering birds and the constant bubbling of the fish tanks. He was also an avid hunter and there were never less than six beagles around the house. As an adult, my love for animals continues. Over the years I have kept and bred many species of tropical and marine fish. Our home is and has been populated with a variety of pets. Dogs, cats, birds and fish...we love 'em all! -Paul Natale |

| "I first met Sandra and Paul over 7 years ago when introduced to them through my husband; who had already been using Home Sweet Home Pet Sitting for many years prior. Since that time we have constantly and consistently used their services time and time again (on average I would say they watch our pets about 10 weekends or more a year). We have never once been disappointed with them and they are so wonderful with our dogs and cat. They spend the time that they say they will with the animals and look after their medical care as well. Sandra works at the animal hospital in town so she is very well prepared in case of an emergency or any illness that may arise while you are away…an added bonus. Both Sandra and Paul will do whatever it takes to get to your house in bad weather too, so that your animals are taken care of just like they promised. You always get a note telling you how things went while you were gone and if something should turn up, they will call you right away. Their follow up is great via email and/or phone. They are neat and courteous and pick up after the pets too so you won’t come home to a mess. My husband and I are both self employed and we have crazy schedules and decide to pick up and go at the last minute and they are always willing to accommodate us and if for some reason they can’t, they refer us to another responsible party, who is great too! They take a lot of pride in their work and won’t let just anyone come care for your animals. I think the fact that we have used home sweet home, and no one else, for so many years speaks for itself. They are a great alternative to the kennels; making your pets feel safe and comfortable in their own home while giving you peace of mind so you can enjoy your time away. | "This letter will serve as a reference letter for the services of Home Sweet Home Pet Sitting Services. We recently moved to Virginia from Hewitt, New Jersey. We had been a client of Home Sweet Home for about the past three years. We have three cats one of which is diabetic and needed insulin shots every 12 hours. We relied on Home Sweet Home to not only feed and look after the cats when we went away, but also to administer insulin and other medicine as needed. We used Home Sweet Home on a regular basis for all our vacations and nights when we were not going to he able to get home early enough to give Boots his insulin injection. Home Sweet Home was very accommodating to our schedule, with sometimes only a little advanced warning. We would highly recommend Home Sweet Home for pet sitting. | "Dear Paul and Sandra, You will never know how much I depended upon you both to take care of my dog Paddy. As he grew older, it became increasingly more difficult for him to walk and adjust to new environments. In all good conscience, I could not leave town and place him in a kennel. With two toddlers, my daughter and son-in-law were unable to take him in, and thus, I was not able to spend any extended time away from my home. Vacations, weekend getaways, even day trips were out of the question, as he needed to go out more frequently during the day, and I had no close neighbors or family to help. Finding you and Paul made the last few years with Paddy so much better. I was finally able to leave my home, knowing Paddy and my home would be safe. I knew that not only would he be fed and let out at least 3 times during the day, I knew that if he had special needs, you would be able to take care of those as well. I became familiar with Sandra Natale during a trip to the Vet to have Charlie, my cat checked, approximately in 1996 or 1997. During the years that Sandra and Paul sat for Charlie, life became a lot easier for both Charlie and I, as it seemed before that, he would always be distressed and unpleasant when I would return from a trip. I do travel two to three times a year and this was upsetting to me. After the first time Sandra came and spent time with Charlie, he was a different cat when I returned home. | I can’t imagine better pet sitters than Sandra and Paul of Home Sweet Home. Trustworthy, good with animals, caring, concerned, reliable--all that has enabled us to leave home over and over again without worry or fear, with complete confidence that our pets will be well taken care of. The needs of our different pets are always addressed; when medication is necessary, that, too, is taken care of. The fact that Sandra & Paul will collect our mail, turn lights on and off, and water the plants is just icing on the cake.
